Mardy Fish wins second Consecutive title

Mardy Fish clinches his second successive title at Atlanta Open beating John Isner for second time in consecutive years.

The top seeded American Player, Mardy Fish ahs thrashed out fellow country men, John Isner for the second consecutive finals in the Atlanta Open with a score line of 3-6, 7-6(6), 6-2 to win the Atlanta Tennis Championships on Sunday, in the ATP 500 Event, which is being held in Georgian city.

In an exciting three set thriller, the world No.9, Mardy Fish took two hours and 16 minutes to clinch his first title of the year, since become the top seeded player for United States.

Isner got off to a fast start by taking the opening set, but not before fighting off to break points in the first game of the match. The No. 3 seed struck for a break at 1-1 thanks to a Fish forehand error and that was all he needed. Isner wrapped up his 3-1. However, the top seeded American came back strongly to make 3-5. But, Isner with consecutive aces has won the first set with 6-4.

John Isner has continued his marvelous show in the second set to clinch his second tile of the year. However, the top seeded American; Fish has bounced back into the game and won the second set with 6-4.

In the finals set, both the American player has battled hard for the title set and took the deciding set into a tie break, as Mardy Fish has won the tie break with 7-6(4) to clinch his second title at Atlanta Open.
